The pretty village of Angles sur l'Angin is just 2km from La M é tairie d'Auge.

The village dates back to medieval times and has its own ruined chateau perched high on a cliff overlooking the river Anglin. The chateau is open to the public and provides spectacular views of the village and the beautiful Anglin valley.

The village is famous for producing a particular type of lace- ‘jours d'angle' a craft which is continued today.

The beautiful spa town of La Roche Posay is just 8km away. This town is famous for its healing spa waters which are reputed to have a curative effect on many skin conditions. Beauty and relaxation treatments are also available and can be taken singly or as part of an individual programme. The town boasts an 18-hole golf course, which is open to the public and offers club hire.

La Roche also has a casino which is open every day of the year.

The weekly markets provide the opportunity to sample the wide variety of local produce including wines, cheeses, sausage and bread.

Futuroscope is a theme park dedicated to moving images. The fantastic futuristic buildings each house a different attraction. The park also has parks and playgrounds. Each evening in the summer (and at weekends in the winter) there is a magnificent firework and laser display.
